Current scientific interests involve design, synthesis and characterization of organic and organometallic materials and devices for solar energy, artificial photosynthesis, photonics, and optoelectronics. Main topics include: organic and organometallic materials for photovoltaic cells (dye-sensitized DSC cells, polymeric-molecular solar cells, tandem DSC-CIGS solar cells) fabrication and characterization of photovoltaic cells and modules artificial photosynthesis: solar induced water splitting, CO2 reduction, solar fuels semiconducting polymers molecular and polymeric optical sensors for water contaminants
