The Energy research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN) is the leading centre for energy research and development in the Netherlands. ECN employs around 600 staff. The energy experts are structured in business units: Solar Energy; Wind Energy; Biomass and Energy Efficiency; Environment and Energy Engineering; and Policy Studies. ECN Solar Energy offers high-level expertise in the fields of PV materials, cell processing, cell and module design and manufacturing. Our activities vary from fundamental research addressing crystalline silicon and thin-film technology to high-quality consultancy. Our technology is available for transfer to and implementation in the PV industry.
