CHEETAH knowledge Exchange Portal is an integral part of CHEETAH project web site powered and developed by DTE unit of ENEA ©2014 - 2018 with support of all CHEETAH Partners. Starting from early 2018, CHEETAH KEP moved its first steps to became EERA Knowledge Exchange Platform for PV Technology (KEPT-PV). A new name for the previous platform characterizing our will to serve better and more efficiently in Knowledge Exchange a wider European and International PV RTD community.

Description of organization

Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) is the oldest and largest of the Spanish Technical Universities. Currently, it has more than 3000 faculty members, around 38.000 undergraduate students, and around 6.000 postgraduate students. UPM’s Schools cover most Engineering disciplines. UPM has more than 200 Research Units and a dozen of Research Institutes and Technological Centres among which the IES (Instituto de Energía Solar) has been recognized as the best Research Institute of the University since a Research Quality System was implemented at UPM (2005).
IES-UPM is devoted exclusively to photovoltaic research (fundamentals, III-V and silicon solar cells, concentrators, optics, systems…). At present, it has over 60 staff members, which include almost 20 full-time professors and more than 30 PhD students.
