CHEETAH knowledge Exchange Portal is an integral part of CHEETAH project web site powered and developed by DTE unit of ENEA ©2014 - 2018 with support of all CHEETAH Partners. Starting from early 2018, CHEETAH KEP moved its first steps to became EERA Knowledge Exchange Platform for PV Technology (KEPT-PV). A new name for the previous platform characterizing our will to serve better and more efficiently in Knowledge Exchange a wider European and International PV RTD community.

H2020 GRECO Project: putting Open Science in Actions

World is changing rapidly and this offers enormous challenges requiring new approaches to performing science.

H2020 GRECO is a multinational research project funded by the European Commission and coordinated by Instituto de Energía Solar Universidad Politécnica in Madrid, Spain that comprises researchers, industry, civil society, government representatives and non-profit organisations from six countries.

Its main goal is "putting Open Science into action " and proposing other Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) approaches in a real research project in the photovoltaic sector to demonstrates how knowledge coalitions comprising researchers, civil organisations, citizens, governments, industry and non-profit organisations may adopt RRI approaches such as Open Science.

The project GRECO would like citizens to be in the driver's seat of photovoltaic research. To contribute to proposed  Citizen Science initiative and foster solar energy project  they have  opened a call for ideas!!

GRECO sets out a framework where citizens will actively participate in the process of research, development and innovation both in the design of new PV solutions and in the provision of data.Specifically, GRECO fosters the uptake of six innovative socially acceptable solutions for photovoltaic products.

  • In-situ repair methodology
  • Ageing model for photovoltaic modules
  • A more sustainable solution for irrigation
  • Cheaper and more efficient solar cells
  • novel modular system
  • Improved PV heat-pump systems

Open Science as a whole will be explored. GRECO will follow Open Access and Open Data policies, but at the same time Open Software, Open Notebooks or Innovative Open Metadata will be produced.

GRECO targets at paving the way for other researchers adopting this new style of managing science in their own research
