A EUROPEAN PROJECT SUPPORTED THROUGH
THE SEVENTH FRAMEWORK PROGRAMME
FOR RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT
CHEETAH knowledge Exchange Portal is an integral part of CHEETAH project web site powered and developed by DTE unit of ENEA ©2014 - 2018 with support of all CHEETAH Partners. Starting from early 2018, CHEETAH KEP moved its first steps to became EERA Knowledge Exchange Platform for PV Technology (KEPT-PV). A new name for the previous platform characterizing our will to serve better and more efficiently in Knowledge Exchange a wider European and International PV RTD community.

Technical Info

MAIN FEATURES :

This infrastructure has 20 years of experience in the development of printed phootovoltaic technologies  with a consistent awareness of stability and reliability of materials, architectures and PV devices

It is invoilved in:

  • development and integration of ultra light-weight (<500g/m²), ultra thin (<1mm), flexible and conformable (curvature <5cm), semi-transparent, with design on-demand organic & perovskite photovoltaic modules, which can be efficient under natural illumination and/or under indoor illumination
  • Study and optimisation of efficiency and reliability of organic and/or perovskite PV products
  • Strategic support to their partners for the development of the perovskite technology at the industrial scale
  • Development of specific, efficient and reliable PV modules for specific  products or application (indoor, outdoor)
  • Testing and optimisation for the integration of new materials and processes for organic and perovskite modules
  • Optoelectronic characterizations for thin films and PV devices
  • Characterizations of gas barrier properties (high sensitive permeameter, Ca test,…)
  • Test protocols for reliability testing of materials and PV devices
  • Benchmark and formulations of materials (glovebox platform for testing of innovative materials and architectures for PV devices)

It offers:

  • Expertise along the whole value chain for the elaboration of organic & perovskite PV devices (materials, formulations, deposition processes and encapsulation)
  • The development of materials (adhesives, barrier film) and a full solution of encapsulation with associated processes.
  • Advanced characterization equipment and methodology for stability assessment of organic and perovskite cells and modules (SSPG, electroluminescence, photoluminescence, LBIC, adhesion testing,…)
  • Reliability and durability test platform with outdoor facilities in various climates and indoor accelerated ageing tests.

MAIN EQUIPMENT

  • glovebox platform for testing of innovative materials and architectures for PV devices
  • Sheet-to-Sheet printing processes (inkjet, slot die, µdispense)
  • Roll-to-Roll printing processes (slot die, flexography)
  • Sheet-to-Sheet or Roll-to-Roll lamination processes
