TRIFILETTI Vanira
Postdoctoral Researcher focused on solution processed thin film photovoltaic devices.
MIB SOLAR - Department of Materials Science, University of Milano-Bicocca
Short Bio
Vanira Trifiletti has achieved the title of Ph. Doctor in September 2016, with a thesis entitled Third generation photovoltaics evolution: from DSCs to Perovskite Solar Cells. In early 2006, she has the chance to gain experience of research activities at the R&D division of ST Microelectronics (Agrate Brianza – MI); consequently, she has reached the First Degree in Materials Science at the “Università di Torino” at the end of the same year studying and optimizing prototypes of Silicon-based Flash Memories in NOR architecture. In 2011, she has reached the Master’s Degree in Materials Science at “Università di Milano Bicocca”, after one year of research on Dye-sensitized Solar Cells (DSCs). Until 2013, she continued to work in Milan, at MIB-SOLAR laboratories, on DSCs, testing original organic dyes and optimizing the device final performances. From the beginning of 2013 until June 2014, she worked in the Energy Platform of Centre for Bimolecular Nanotechnologies in Lecce, focused on optimization of Porphyrin-sensitized Solar Cells and beginning the study on hybrid halide perovskite-based devices. In September 2013, she started the PhD program and in July 2014 until September 2016, she began working in the CNR Laboratories in Lecce and she has started to design and fabricate, using conventional and innovative materials, Perovskite-based Solar Cells. She is currently engaged, at the MIB-SOLAR laboratories, in the realization of perovskite-based tandem solar cells under the supervision of Prof. Alessandro Abbotto and from January 2017 on solution processed CZTS solar cells under the supervision of Prof. Simona Binetti.
