Short Bio
Dr Lucia V Mercaldo graduated in physics at University of Salerno (Italy) where she obtained also her PhD in cooperation with University of Maryland (USA). After postdoctoral assignments at the two universities, she joined ENEA as permanent researcher in 2002. There she leads part of the research on thin film silicon for PV at the Portici Labs. She is experienced in fabrication and characterization of amorphous and microcrystalline Si/Si-alloys layers and solar cells. She has been involved in national and European projects, also as ENEA scientific representative.
