Short Bio
Ricardo Alonso received the BSc degree in 2002 in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Basque Country, where he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree focusing on new solutions for the connection to the grid of distributed Photovoltaic systems.
Since 2003, he has been working as Project Manager of Solar Area in Energy and Environment Division of TECNALIA Research & Innovation. His main research areas are focused on the development of power and control electronics applied to renewable energy systems and, more concretely, to grid-connected Photovoltaic systems.
He is member of the Spanish certification Committee AEN/CTN 82 and he participates actively in different working groups of Spanish Union of Photovoltaics Association. He is author of a patent regarding MPPT algorithm
