Coordinator of the joint program on PV of the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA)
Short Bio
Ivan Gordon obtained his PhD in the field of novel magnetic materials for sensor applications from the University of Leuven in February 2002. He started to work at IMEC in June 2003, where he is currently leading the Silicon PV group, working on c-Si wafer-based solar cells, thin-film silicon solar cells, and advanced module concepts for ultra-thin c-Si wafer-based cells. Since 2008, he is editor in charge of all silicon-related papers for the international scientific journal Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells. Since 2011, he is also associate editor for the IEEE Journal on PV. He has authored and co-authored more than 200 journal and conference papers (>2000 citations, h-factor 24 according to google scholar). He was the scientific coordinator of the FP7 project “PolySiMode” on thin-film pc-Si solar cell technology and has been WP and SP leader in various other FP5, FP6 and FP7 projects.
