CHEETAH knowledge Exchange Portal is an integral part of CHEETAH project web site powered and developed by DTE unit of ENEA ©2014 - 2018 with support of all CHEETAH Partners. Starting from early 2018, CHEETAH KEP moved its first steps to became EERA Knowledge Exchange Platform for PV Technology (KEPT-PV). A new name for the previous platform characterizing our will to serve better and more efficiently in Knowledge Exchange a wider European and International PV RTD community.

Gravure-Printing for processing organic materials

PV Material and devices processing Equipment

With gravure printing , the images etched on the surface of a metal plate or cylinder produce recesses or depressions which are filled with ink and the raised (non-printing) portions of the plate or cylinder are wiped or scraped free of ink leaving the ink only in the recesses. Flexible substrates are pressed against the inked plate or cylinder and the image is transferred to the substrate Gravure printing has numerous advantages for the field of printed electronics, where it is already playing an important role: organic light emitting diodes (OLED)?for displays and lighting , UHF RFID label antennas are realized by this useful technique and it could also excel in transistors, circuits and high resolution electrical interconnection. Certainly, solar cells could be a sizable market, and work is being conducted on the university and research center levels.
