Responsible for the characterization of solar cells and optical devices in ENEA Portici Photovoltaic Systems and Smart grid Unit
Photovoltaic Systems and Smart Grid Unit - Photovoltaic and smart Network Division - Energy Technologies Department (DTE-FSN-FOSG]
Role in the project : characterization of Solar cells and RR procedures
Short Bio
Antonio Romano works since 1990 in ENEA laboratories for the PV device and modules characterization.
Here, he gained solid experience in I-V characterization of solar cells, PV modules end PV systems and spectral response for single and multijunction device; moreover he also deals with optical characterization of lenses, mirrors and secondary optics for concentration device.
Responsible in his laboratory for the characterization of solar cell he participated to several national/international EU projects related to characterization of devices and PV modules (FOTOENERGIA, FP7-ECOSOLE, FP7-SOPHIA, FP7-CHEETAH, FP7-APOLLON).
His laboratory team has designed, and patented a solar simulator for the characterization of solar cells under concentrated light. He is also co-author of a patents on PV module anti - theft system (PV- Guardian) and for the PV module diagnostic on site by isochronism (PV-Intrascan).
He is also co-author of several scientific papers presentend to international Conferences.
